For Mike. For the future. Changing youth basketball with purpose.
About 2ND Half Hoops
2nd Half Hoops was created in honor of the legacy and determination that Mike put into his own company Hoop Work. "Hoop Work was founded with the goal of providing athletes in New England the opportunity to develop their basketball skills. Our training methods are designed for optimum development by being efficient with the work each young athlete is willing to invest in themselves. Work ethic is the foundation of success in our program"-Mike Babul.
2HH is a youth basketball initiative founded in honor of Mike, a beloved coach and mentor who dedicated his life to using the game to inspire others. After Mike’s passing, his twin brother Jon launched Second Half Hoops to continue the mission they once shared. The program is built on the values of brotherhood, mentorship, and legacy, aiming to impact young athletes through basketball while keeping Mike’s spirit alive. The message emphasizes that even though Mike is no longer physically present, the work they started together continues in a powerful new form. Second Half Hoops represents not just the continuation of a dream, but the beginning of a new chapter--“the second half”—where Mike’s influence lives on through every player, every session, and every lesson taught on and off the court, implementing all the same values that Hoop Work stood for.
